In late 2023 the OptiSwap team entered an agreement with DFINITY to perform R&D, write developer guidance, and create a proof-of-concept game.

The outcome will be a reference architecture which includes a "Token Lobby" canister, to which the maintainer can plug game canisters and work in a unified framework focused on fungible tokens.

The game canister allows

• trustless execution of game logic

• evolution of token balances based on in-game events
