Internet Computer

The obvious next goal of a blockchain VM is to encapsulate an entire web app to provide fully decentralized high-quality services. The Internet Computer (IC) project has thrown a lot of talent at solving some of the serious compatibility and scalability issues required to do so.

In August 2023 the OptiSwap team received an offer of support from DFINITY to develop capabilities on IC.

This lead to the Token Lobby design and an upcoming game, Bulldog Blast. The scope of the project is to demonstrate usage of an Ethereum token (HOGE) within game logic running in a fully decentralized trustless execution environment.

Impossible in the tradeoff space of Ethereum, but viable (within some constraints) on Internet Computer.
